Teaching Moments....

OK, I have to share this day with you! Today, one of my 6th grade students kicked another student in the hallway after recess and I told him he knows he is not supposed to touch other people and that this is why we don't get extra priveleges and etc., so....... he gets a really bad attitude and does the eye roll thing and huffs and puffs out of my room to his next class! I let this go( you have to choose your battles as a teacher I have learned) and went on with class. Later in the day he comes to me and apologizes for everything and tells me he understands that he needs to try to do the right thing and apologize to this child also!! These are the moments when I remember why I became a teacher!! Just had to share! I hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day tomorrow!!

P.S. Think about me, please!! I have 26 lovestruck sixth graders to control!!haha
