All Dogs go to Heaven
My poor Daddy! He just called to tell me his beloved duck dog, Reload ( yes, that is his name, as in reload your gun, more ducks coming!)passed away this morning at the vet's office. This pooch had some personality! A few years ago, Dad and I went on a little duck hunting trip to the farm with Reload. Well, as Dad and I were shooting the ducks Reload would go retrieve them. OK, well that is what a duck dog does right? Reload would then take dirt and leaves and cover our ducks up and sit on top of them! We said he must have been ashamed of our ducks! He was a good natured black lab who would love and lick you to death!

Time Flies......!
We went to Lake Providence last night to celebrate my ten year reunion at my alma mater, Briarfield Academy! We went to the Homecoming game and we all walked on the field at half time to be honored. It brought back lots of good memories to walk into the stadium and see all those familiar faces! It was so much fun getting to visit with all my old classmates, teachers, and friends. We had a small class and we were all pretty close in school!Everyone did not make it to celebrate, but we had a good group! We went to the Country Club after the game and continued the party! I miss those guys, but we all manage to stay in touch pretty well!

When your Husband makes a trip to the woods.........
Dino went to check his game camera yesterday evening and this is what he met in the woods! He said he was about a foot away from it! I told him I was supposed to be the next person going to the hospital, not him!!haha He said mounting it on a board serves as a great reminder to look down when you are walking around out there!
Baby News: All is well with Ann Marie! She is pretty comfy! She kicks and moves around all day. My kids tell her she must wait until recess time to be so active!=) Speaking of my students, they are getting a little nervous about me being gone for so long! I keep assuring them that I am coming back! Have a good week!

Thoughts for Fridays at School!
One of my friends sent me this for a laugh!! AMEN!
THIS IS PRICELESS!!
After being interviewed by the school administration, the teaching
prospect said, 'Let me see if I've got this right: 'You want me to go
into that room with all those kids, correct their disruptive behavior,
observe them for signs of abuse, monitor their dress habits, censor
their T-shirt messages, and instill in them a love for learning. You
want me to check their backpacks for weapons, wage war on drugs and
sexually transmitted diseases, and raise their sense of self esteem and
personal pride. 'You want me to teach them patriotism and good
citizenship, sportsmanship and fair play, and how to register to vote,
balance a checkbook, and apply for a job. You want me to check their
heads for lice, recognize signs of antisocial be behavior, and make sure
that they all pass the state exams. 'You want me to provide them with an
equal education regardless of their handicaps, and communicate
regularly
with their parents by letter, telephone, newsletter, and report card.
'You want
me to do all this with a piece of chalk, a blackboard, a
bulletin board, a few books, a big smile, and a starting salary that
qualifies me for food stamps. You want me to do all this and then you
tell me.................'I CAN'T PRAY?'

My Baby Shower at Portland Elementary!
Today my wonderful co-workers gave me a baby shower! They really went above and beyond to make everything so special!! The decorations were awesome thanks to Mrs. Charlotte! They gave me my hamper and trunk that I picked out for a hostess gift plus lots of diapers, wipes, and clothing! I really am blessed to work in a place that I love to go to and I am able to work with some of the kindest, funniest, and loving people around!!
P.S. I am so excited we get to do another baby shower again soon! Congrats to Grace and Emerson! Grace is our Kindergarten teacher at Portland! Grace is due in April! Ann Marie will have a little friend soon!
